Health Work & Wellness™ Conference Program CommitteeThe Program Committee is made up of volunteers from across the country involved in research and practice in organizational health. They review submissions for presentations to create the dynamic program for the Health Work & Wellness™ Conference. ![]() Muneerah Kassam - Chair Muneerah has been involved with the Health Work & Wellness™ Conference since its inception in 1997. As a consultant, she works with the Canadian Association of Provincial Cancer Agencies and the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer to develop a pan-Canadian Human Resource Planning Information System. She thoroughly enjoys being a mom of two children and discovers the joys of life through their eyes. ![]() Deb Connors Visionary. Passionate. Pioneering. Founder of the Health Work & Wellness™ Conference, Deb has passionately pursued her vision of bringing like-minded professionals together to discuss workplace issues at this annual think-tank on organizational health. Recent winner of the Canadian Workplace Wellness Pioneer Award, Deb has created her life's work around energizing organizations to be healthier. She founded Well-Advised Consulting Inc. in 1991 to provide companies with the thinking and tools to improve organizational well-being. DDeb, husband Mike and daughter Jordan enjoy the quality of life they have found on Vancouver Island. ![]() Rob Crooks, BPE, CHRP Rob is a thought and practice leader in the workplace health field, with 25 years experience including work/life, health promotion, safety and disability management. Rob partners with clients to create healthy work environments and sustainable business processes. He is active in many local, provincial and national networks, including the Canadian Healthy Workplace Council. ![]() Sophie Dube Sophie has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Industrial Relations, with a specialization in Work Stress Management. Sophie is currently a Senior Consultant, Health & Wellness at Standard Life. Throughout her career, she has worked on projects affecting work-life balance, burnout, implementation of health and wellness programs in the workplace and return to work after a psychological condition. ![]() Andrew Hume Andrew has over 30 years experience in social marketing and communications. Prior to starting his own consulting practice in 1999, he served in a number of executive positions in various public sector agencies and provincial governments. Andrew has been working in the health and health care sectors for over 20 years, developing innovative solutions to help people manage their own health needs and in helping organizations move toward creating environments where 'work is a healthy life experience'. ![]() Andrée Iffrig Andrée has been working with participatory approaches and peer learning techniques in organizational settings for over 20 years. The author of Find Your Voice at Work: The Power of Storytelling in the Workplace, she designs and delivers innovative courses in leadership development, and writes about sustainability and employee engagement. An avid storyteller, she is occasionally accused of hyperbole. ![]() Wes Jones Wes is the Director, Group Product Development at Great-West Life. In this role, he has the responsibility for the research and design of new group life, disability and wellness products/services. He has been involved with the Health Work and Wellness Conference™ since 2002 through the Great-West Life sponsorship and as a member of the Program Committee. ![]() Craig Thompson Craig Thompson is a partner in Human Solutions™ and is a member of the executive team. Day to day, Craig assists in setting strategy and provides direct leadership in the areas of Customer Relations, Business Development and Strategic Alliances.
