Health Work & Wellness™ Conference 2008 - Moving Forward... Giving Back

The theme of Conference 2008 is Moving Forward... Giving Back and will focus on organizational endurance through five presentation streams:

1. Healthy Work Cultures

This stream will focus on the link between a healthy work culture and a sustainable organization. Lessons will include how to assess whether or not a work culture is healthy, and how to create enduring cultures that attract and retain the type of employees needed in a sustainable organization.

2. Healthy Communication

Delegates who follow the second stream will explore how to communicate more effectively with the different generations in today’s workplace. Following on the 2007, this stream will also look at new ways to communicate across and around the technological chaos and lack of time that most employees face.

3. Healthy People Strategies

Assessing the link between people strategies and organizational sustainability, this stream will help delegates develop strategies to recruit and retain top talent and build a sustainable, healthy workplace culture.

4. Healthy People (Personal Renewal Sessions)

This stream will emphasize investing in personal well-being regardless of an employee’s position in the organizational structure. Sessions will provide ideas and activities related to helping people achieve work-life balance and improve their mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and social well-being.

5. Healthy Organizational Footprint

The fifth stream will examine an organization’s interaction with the community and the environment, and how it impacts its long-term success. Delegates will learn new definitions of success and shareholder value and hear about strategies for improving an organization’s footprint while remaining profitable.
