What does an Emotionally Fit organization look like? This session is a dynamic and interactive introduction to a set of powerful yet simple processes. The intention is to provide strategic tools to enhance communication – especially listening – across the organization. The tools have already been used with great success in a range of corporate, government and not-for-profit organizations. Find out from the author of The 9 Steps to Emotional Fitness how you can apply them in your organization.

Testimonial from Pam Cooper, participant of a recent From Hands to Heart session
[The facilitators] were very good at bringing you back to thinking "How does this fit with my work day and the people I work with?" Influence versus power was something that resonated with me, along with some other personal learnings that were really effective. I'm certain those that attend in the fall will be very pleased.

Emotionally charged communication is rarely effective, but how can we separate our emotions from our approach and attitude? Communication is about confidence – recognizing boundaries but not being afraid to persist, speaking up when you need and being able to listen. It’s about doing what you value and having others value what you do. This interactive half-day session will give participants and observers a new perspective on workplace communication and emotional learning. Horses are used as both learning partners and teachers in this unique format. Discover how to become a true leader, by setting an example, understanding what motivates individuals, modeling behaviour, recognizing and rewarding effort and celebrating success. This session takes place on a horse ranch near Calgary. Transportation will be provided. The session is not about riding, but about receiving feedback from a partner who will not miss a detail – a horse. No previous horse experience is required.
