TestimonialsRead what your colleagues have to say about this national event that has started to gain a reputation of being a leading conference in Canada. HEALTH WORK & WELLNESS™ CONFERENCE 2007Health Work & Wellness™ Conference is an excellent one! I really appreciated the ability to move through several one hour sessions and take advantage of many topics with expert speakers from the field of organizational health. Not many credible conferences such as this one are available in Canada. Wendy Kirkos, Manager, Workplace Wellness and Substance Abuse Prevention Programs – Healthy Lifestyles Division, Regional Municipality of York I was very impressed with my first conference. Overall I was able to meet different people, and to hear different opinions on a variety of issues, employers, HR folk, and union representatives. Exchange in the sessions was great. I really appreciated the professionalism of how this event was put together and run, the food was great and the after hours entertainment and speakers were wonderful; conference staff went out of their way to help participants, many thanks. Top notch in every sense. Michael Arseneault, Regional Vice-President, Union of Solicitor General Employees for Corrections, Atlantic Canada Being my first conference, Health Work & Wellness™ Conference completely exceeded my expectations. The most valuable thing for me was the informal way in which the information was presented as well as the opportunity to ask questions and give and receive feedback on certain areas of the workshops. It was also an excellent opportunity to network with people from different organizations and occupations across Canada. Patricia Martino, Administrative Assistant, Children’s Aid Society of Toronto The Conference was great and I took back some tools to assist me in pulling together information that will facilitate "making a case" for wellness programs, including parameters around Information Technology to support a healthier organization. Denise Pattyn, HR Manager, South Eastman Health The most valuable part of this conference was the ability to network with others during the sessions. This provided for some real-life experiences from several people and allowed me to evaluate my current situation with a different perspective. Laurel Hines, Team Leader, ArcelorMittal Dofasco HEALTH WORK & WELLNESS™ CONFERENCE 2006The Health Work & Wellness™ Conference [2006] was excellent. I enjoyed and learned so much from the calibre of all the presenters, keynote et al. The information imparted was most interesting, useful and practical. This type of conference is a must attend for employers who keep abreast of ways to attain and maintain the coveted "Employer of Choice" status. The Conference was well-planned, coordinated and executed. Kudos for this year's organizers....Well done! Arunjit Gill, Employers' Adviser, Ministry of Labour and Citizens' Services, Government of British Columbia Excellent exposure to best practices and latest research in this dynamic field of organizational health, wellness and productivity. Top notch keynote speakers. Well-designed and highly interactive sessions. Great opportunity to network nationally and learn from the perspectives of frontline professionals, policy makers and executives. Came away inspired, appreciative of milestones achieved and energized for this journey called a healthy workplace. Pauline Blais, Director of Human Resources, City of Guelph It's wonderful to know that by attending the Health Work & Wellness™ Conference each year we can actually rub shoulders with the leaders in the field. WOW, you don't get that in many circles! Unfortunately, for people not into "Wellness" the names don't mean a lot yet. So when I tell people I "chewed the fat" with Linda Duxbury, exchanged greetings with Martin Shain, exchanged ideas on best books at the book counter with Graham Lowe, and gabbed with Deb Connors about the Vancouver rain – they just don't get it. Then I tell them an analogy based on hockey would be like saying you went to a conference on hockey and "had a chat in the bathroom with Wayne Gretzky", shared jibes with Bobby Hull when you both grabbed for the same muffin, had lunch with Bobbie Orr, took your coffee break sitting across from Jacques Plante and had wine and cheese and shared a joke with Guy Lafleur. Then they start to get the picture! Marcia Wiltse RN, Supervisor, Employee Health and Wellness, Saskatchewan Government Insurance The Health Work & Wellness™ Conference continues to set the gold standard for workplace health and wellness and we would like to congratulate the Leadership Team on another job well done in 2006. Wes Jones, Manager, Group Product Development, Great-West Life – Conference Major Partner
